Volunteering at Alpha Pregnancy Center
There are many ways to join and support the work of Alpha Pregnancy Center. Though this list is not exhaustive, we have highlighted a few of our highest currents needs for volunteer support. If you are interested in volunteering in other capacities or if you would like to coordinate a group volunteer opportunity, please email info@alphapc.org
Client Advocates
At Alpha Pregnancy Center, we are honored to have faithful volunteers commit to journeying alongside the women and families we serve. Our client advocates offer sustainable relational support, personally deliver gift bundles, and lead our educational classes. We provide the training; you provide the personal connection.
Sonographers
Are you an RN looking for a meaningful way to use your skills to help women in need? We’re inviting you to volunteer with Alpha Pregnancy Center where you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in our community and our future generations. We offer comprehensive training and certification in ultrasonography for Registered Nurses.
Translators
Volunteers who are conversational or fluent in another language can serve in many ways from translating documents to conversations. Because 38% of the women we serve are Spanish speaking and 35% are Chinese speaking, women who are not proficient in English may find it difficult to receive our help. Our volunteer translators make it possible for these women in particular to ensure their needs are met and to communicate with us in a safe and comfortable environment.
Chaperones
Chaperones provide additional support to our medical staff during pregnancy test and ultrasound appointments. As a chaperone, you would be trained to provide options information to clients and be ready to share about our Support Program. You would also assist with paperwork, filing, and other office tasks in between appointments.
